All Riders…
For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, riders must be at least 7 years old and able to communicate clearly and follow instructions. Riders must demonstrate the attention and awareness required to safely participate in a guided horseback experience.
A rider’s maximum weight may not exceed 250 pounds. In addition to overall weight, a rider’s height-to-weight ratio directly affects balance and stability while riding in mountainous terrain. Horseback riding is a physically active outdoor experience that requires balance, strength, coordination, and flexibility.
For the safety of both our guests and our horses, we reserve the right to decline participation if we believe a rider may be unable to ride safely.
All trips are subject to weather and environmental conditions, which may result in cancellation or rescheduling.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation—we appreciate your help in keeping both our guests and horses safe.
Pack Trips
Spot Trip
Travel by horseback while your gear and provisions are transported by pack animals to a designated lakeside or streamside campsite. Once you’re delivered to camp, the packer and stock return to the Pack Station. You’ll be picked up on a predetermined date arranged at the time of booking.
This option is ideal for guests who want to enjoy the backcountry with more comfort and equipment than traditional backpacking allows. You are responsible for providing all camping gear and food. The length of your stay is entirely up to you, making this a flexible option for extended wilderness trips.
Backpacker Drop
With a Backpacker Drop, you are transported by horseback while your backpack is carried by pack animal to a desired campsite on a lake or stream. After drop-off, the packer and stock return to the Pack Station, and you continue your trip as a traditional backpacking experience.
From there, you’ll carry your own gear as you travel through the mountains and return to the Pack Station at your convenience. This is a great option for backpackers who want help reaching a starting point deeper into the wilderness while maintaining independence during their trip.
Dunnage Drop
Your gear is delivered and/or picked up by pack animals at a location of your choice while you hike to your destination. This option is perfect for backpackers and hikers who want to enjoy the journey without carrying a heavy pack the entire trip.
Dunnage Drops allow you to travel farther and more comfortably, expanding your range while saving time and reducing physical strain. Whether you’re setting up a base camp or simply lightening your load, our experienced pack mules handle the heavy lifting. Your gear can be transported to any of the locations we service.
All rates are subject to change depending on availability and/or special circumstances.
Parties traveling with children under the age of 10 years will require an additional Packer and Horse.
